Per million inhabitants: 70 doctors. A rate that is 78 times lower than the comparable figure in Switzerland. These are the facts; they outline the need in Senegal with its almost 15 million inhabitants. With its donation Geistlich wants to contribute to improving this situation.

Osteo Science Foundation was founded in 2013 by Dr. Peter Geistlich and Geistlich Pharma to advance hard and soft tissue regeneration in Oral and CranioMaxillofacial Surgery in North America. The foundation is now expanding to include global programming, extending programs and activities to serve Oral and CranioMaxillofacial Surgeons around the world.

Geistlich Pharma – a pioneer of regenerative dentistry – has successfully established ten of its twelve global subsidiaries in the past 16 years. Its dynamic development in the international markets has led to the construction of a new production building at its headquarters in Wolhusen. On August 30, the result of this investment amounting to the tens of millions was inaugurated in the presence of numerous guests.
